Ferrari 458 Italia


Project Zeus, as the Vancouver-based tuner calls it, involves adding a Novitec aerodynamic kit to the 458 which includes front lip spoiler, side skirts, rear skirts, rear lip spoiler and a gloss-black roof.

Also contributed from a European tuner is an Akropovic sport exhaust system which likely adds a horsepower or two to the 458 Italia, although SR Project doesn't say.

The tuner fits Forgiato Aguzzo (sharp forged) wheels to the 458 with 21-inchers at the front and 22-inch rims at the back.

Novitec also supplies the lowering springs for the suspension tuning.

But we can call this a Canadian creation, can't we, eh?

Ferrari Genuine Maintenance

The program is only available to Ferrari 458, California and FF customers, and it can be handed over to second-hand buyers.
The program started off in Europe as of March, but the company has said it will become available in other international markets later this year. CarAdvice contacted Edward Rowe of ATECO and European Automotive Imports, Ferrari importers for Australia, about the program, he said,
“At the moment it [the program] is for European customers only. It will be rolled out on a market by market basis over the next 12 months.”
Mr Rowe said that Australian market introduction depends on various legal and market requirements. He did say that if he was to predict when the program would become available, if at all, it would likely be early in 2012, at around the time of the local launch of the Ferrari FF.
For all those living outside Australia, the program is available now and covers all scheduled maintenance items including fluids and spare parts. The company has also said there is no limit on kilometres either and the program can be transferred to a second owner. Ferrari recently said about the program that it is,
“Designed to anticipate one annual service each year during the seven years, but, as there is no mileage restriction, clients who reach the service intervals by mileage (every 20,000km) will be able to have their car serviced more than once per year.”

Ferrari 458


For years, Ferrari 458 ownership has been about compromise. A Ferrari is purposeful, racing-bred technology made to work well on the street, but it comes at a price, both literally and figuratively.Ferrari 458 are expensive to own and maintain, and for that reason, many people only use them selectively to carve canyons on weekends and at racetracks.Even worse, many owners simply drive them to the mall and back, stopping at Starbucks to show off real excess to people who think $4 coffee is a luxury. Besides the obvious expense of owning and operating such a machine, there are a few other drawbacks.
PAST FERRARIS SEEM CRUDE BY COMPARISON. The radio, sourced from Blaupunkt, is completely indecipherable and sounds like it was assembled at Best Buy. The so-called Navigation system, optional with the 430 Scuderia, is completely useless. Ferrari 458 The air conditioning doesn’t blow cold when it’s hot outside, but works great in the dead of winter. As for Spider models, the top is slow to operate, prone to breaking, and expensive to fix. And often, so many Ferraris simply won’t start when asked.

599XX: An Extreme Track Car

Particular attention was also paid to cutting the weight of the engine unit components. This was achieved both by optimizing forms - as in the new crankshaft - and adopting exclusive materials, as in the carbon-fiber used for the intake plenums. A new gearbox shift strategy cuts overall gearchange times to 60 ms.

The Ferrari 599XX is characterized by an innovative electronic concept called the "High Performance Dynamic Concept" which has been designed to get the maximum performance from the car by managing the combination of the car's mechanical limits with the potential of its electronic controls. The mechanical and electronic systems work together to get the maximum performance from the car under extreme high performance driving, for consistent lap times. The sporty handling has been improved thanks to the adoption of second generation SCM suspension system. Track usage is also made easier thanks to the new "virtual car engineer", a screen in the car that provides a real-time indication of the vehicle's efficiency.

Ferrari 599XX Race Car

While based on the 599 GTB Fiorano with the same transaxle layout and engine type, the Ferrari 599XX is an extreme track car. Ferrari's engineers have carried out extensive work on the engine's combustion chambers and inlet and exhaust tracts. These modifications, combined with the fact that internal attrition has been reduced and the maximum revs have been boosted to 9,000 rpm, helped achieve the target power output of 700 hp at 9,000 rpm.
